A seat at the table for everyone.

Food has the power to bring people together. We use food as a vehicle to connect all of us and break down the barriers that divide us.

About

A community food network in Manchester

Food has the power to bring people together. ALL OF US MCR is a Manchester-based community food network designed to create warm, welcoming events where people from all backgrounds can meet, share an incredible meal, and discover each other. Ultimately, we use food as a vehicle to connect all of us and break down the barriers that divide us.

Our community thrives on a unique pay-it-forward model. We are a space where people who want to support their community and people who need that support come together. By shifting the perspective on who gets to experience high-quality dining, we ensure that everyone plays an active part in making Manchester stronger and more connected.

What do we do?

We use exceptional food to build a kinder, happier, and more supportive Manchester community for everyone.

Community dining events

We host welcoming, fine dining experiences where everyone is invited to sit together, chat, and share a premium meal.

Skills swaps & workshops

We connect various Manchester grassroots communities, allowing neighbours to exchange skills — giving everyone a chance to teach what they know and learn something new.

Green & sustainable

We run our events carefully to cut down on food waste, promote eco-friendly habits, and look after our local environment.

Pay it forward

How do we do it?

Creating a premium dining experience that is open to everyone takes teamwork, community spirit, and a clever, sustainable model. Here is how ALL OF US MCR makes the magic happen.

  1. Professional staff & local talent

We don't just serve food; we create an experience. We hire and pay professional chefs to cook incredible, high-end meals, and we collaborate with local artists to design a beautiful, welcoming ambiance for every event.

  2. A pay-it-forward ticket model

We sell tickets to paying customers, which directly covers the core cost of the food. We partner with Manchester grassroots organisations to distribute free tickets to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship or marginalisation, ensuring they get to enjoy the exact same fine dining experience.

  3. Sustainable, community-sourced ingredients

We get creative with how we stock our kitchen to ensure high quality and support the local economy. We source fresh ingredients from local producers and community allotments, alongside surplus food from food-rescue partners.

  4. Funding & zero waste

Our work is powered by a mix of ticket sales and grants from various funding pots across the charity sector. To honour our green ethos, any food that isn't eaten on the night never goes to waste — we immediately package it up and distribute it to local Manchester charities in need.

Our ethos

Breaking down barriers

We give people from all walks of life, who normally would not have the opportunity to meet, a safe space to make new friends and truly feel like they belong.

Fine dining for everyone

By hiring professional chefs and waiting staff, we provide a premium dining experience to low-income and marginalised individuals who normally wouldn't be able to dine out. High-income guests and donors pay it forward, ensuring a beautiful, professionally cooked meal is dignified and accessible to all.

Caring for the planet & community

By wasting less and donating surplus food, we protect the planet. Any food not eaten on the night is immediately distributed to local charities in need, ensuring our impact goes further.
